Congolese international Fiston Mayele is considering a move to the Saudi Pro League after attracting interest from Al-Fateh.
Mayele has attracted significant interest following a standout season with Pyramids FC, who emerged as champions of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The 29-year-old is on the radar of Al-Fateh as they seek to secure his services for the 2025/26 football campaign.
Despite interest from Kaizer Chiefs, the highly-rated forward is said to be keen about a move to the Saudi Arabia. His financial demands has effectively ruled out any move to Kaizer Chiefs.
According to reports, Mayele is seeking a significant salary increase and is now considering a switch to Saudi Arabia.
At present, the 31-year-old striker earns around $700,000 per year (approximately 12.3 million rand). However, he is now aiming to double his income, attracting interest from Al-Fateh, a club managed by Jose Gomes, who knows Mayele well from their time together at Zamalek.
The striker’s demands far exceed the salary ceiling even for the highest-paid South African Premier League stars, whose annual earnings range from 6 to 10 million rand. The only African clubs that could potentially meet Mayele’s financial ambitions are Pyramids and Al Ahly.
