France-born defender of DR Congo descent, Stanley Nsoki, has reached personal terms with German Bundesliga side Union Berlin ahead of his anticipated move.
The final step in the transfer now hinges on an agreement between Union and his current club, TSG Hoffenheim.
Negotiations between the two German clubs are reportedly at an advanced stage, with both sides discussing a loan deal that includes an option to buy. Should the clubs finalise the terms, Nsoki will undergo a medical at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.
Despite falling down the pecking order at Hoffenheim, where he was largely used as a substitute last season, Nsoki remains highly rated.
His pace, physicality, and left-footed versatility make him a strong candidate to bolster Steffen Baumgart’s defensive setup at Union.
A move could offer the 1.84-meter-tall defender a much-needed fresh start and regular playing time in Berlin as the club reshapes its backline ahead of the new Bundesliga campaign.
The transfer is expected to be complete by the close of this week.
