The first Congo Cycling Tour commenced on June 19, featuring cyclists from various countries, including Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, Ivory Coast, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Congo Brazzaville, and France. The inaugural stage covered a distance of 90 km between Matadi and Songololo. Rwandan cyclist Rudahunga Emmanuel secured victory in this stage, followed by Frenchman Clem Medric and Rwandan Emile Bisamahana. The tour, organized by Congo, spans nine stages, with the second day’s route covering 94 km from Matadi to Inkisi.
