Nigeria, the reigning African champion, has announced its 23-man squad for the upcoming Confederations Cup scheduled from June 15 to 30. The squad, selected by coach Stephen Keshi, includes eight players from the local championship. Chelsea star John Obi Mikel and goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama are part of the squad. However, Victor Moses, who is injured, and Emmanuel Emenike, the top scorer of the last African Cup of Nations (CAN), are absent. Nigeria will compete in Group B against Spain, Uruguay, and Tahiti.
