CAF Confederation Cup 2019-2020: Group Stage Draw Revealed
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducted the draw for the 2019-2020 CAF Confederation Cup group stage on Tuesday, setting the stage for a highly competitive phase. The groups appear balanced, with several intriguing matchups.
In Group A, newcomers FC Nouadhibou face a challenging task against Pyramids FC and Al Masry from Egypt, as well as Rangers International of Nigeria.
Guinean champions Horoya AC are favorites in Group B, joining El Nasr of Libya, Bidvest Wits of South Africa, and Djoliba FC of Mali.
Meanwhile, last year’s finalist RS Berkane finds themselves in Group C alongside Motema Pembe from DR Congo, Zanaco FC of Zambia, and debutants ESAE FC from Benin.
Group D features Paradou AC from Algeria, FC San Pedro of Ivory Coast, HUSA Agadir of Morocco, and Enyimba of Nigeria.
With Zamalek crowned last season’s champions, the search for a new winner begins as these 16 clubs prepare for what promises to be an exciting group stage.
