The race for the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup is nearing its conclusion, and three of the four spots have already been claimed. RS Berkane, CS Sfaxien, and Zamalek SC have all booked their places, leaving just one remaining slot to be decided following the final second-leg match between Al Hilal and Étoile Sportive du Sahel on April 22 in Cairo.

RS Berkane, coming off a commanding first-leg victory, continued their dominant form at home against Gor Mahia. The Moroccans left no room for doubt, securing another emphatic win with a 5-1 triumph. Kodjo Fo Doh Laba, the Togolese forward, opened the scoring for Berkane, setting the tone for a match that saw further goals from Mohamed Aziz, Bakre El Helali, Issoufou Dayo, and Youssef Essaiydy. Lawrence Juma scored the lone consolation for Gor Mahia, but it did little to temper Berkane’s overwhelming display. The aggregate score of 7-1 confirms Berkane’s superiority and earns them a well-deserved semi-final berth.

Meanwhile, Zamalek SC needed just a single goal to see off Hassania Agadir and secure their semi-final place. That goal came courtesy of Ibrahim Hassan, who struck at the right moment to ensure a 1-0 victory over the Moroccans. With the aggregate score also at 1-0, Zamalek now look forward to the next stage of the competition, confident in their ability to challenge for the title.

CS Sfaxien also advanced without drama, defeating Nkana FC 2-0. Firas Chaouat and Alaa Marzouki were on target to deliver the Tunisian side a solid aggregate win of 3-2, confirming their place among the final four. CS Sfaxien’s disciplined performance highlighted their tactical awareness and ability to manage crucial matches under pressure.

The final semi-finalist will be determined after the postponed second-leg clash between Al Hilal and Étoile Sportive du Sahel, which was relocated to Addis Ababa due to ongoing challenges in Sudan. In the first leg, the Tunisians held a 3-1 advantage, giving them a strong chance to complete the lineup for the semi-finals.

With Berkane, Zamalek, and CS Sfaxien already through, the stage is set for an exciting conclusion to the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals. Fans can expect intense matches as teams prepare to battle for the prestigious semi-final spots, with talent from across the continent on full display. Each team has demonstrated resilience, tactical prowess, and attacking flair, promising a thrilling final phase of the tournament.
