Como have taken a big step in their summer rebuild by agreeing a €14 million deal with AZ Alkmaar for rising Dutch winger Jayden Addai, per Fabrizio Romano.
The 19-year-old, who has Ghanaian roots, is expected to join the Serie A newcomers pending the completion of personal terms with his representatives. Addai scored three goals in 35 senior appearances for AZ last season and impressed in the youth ranks, helping AZ U19 win the 2023 UEFA Youth League with four goals.
Addai’s pace, skill, and sharp decision-making have drawn praise in the Netherlands, and his move signals Como’s intent to compete seriously in Italy’s top flight. Cesc Fabregas, who continues to shape the club’s new era, beat off competition from Bologna to land the exciting talent.
Though contracted to AZ until 2029, the Dutch side accepted Como’s bid after Addai expressed interest in the project under Fabregas.
With fans eager to see how the youngster adapts to Serie A, Como’s bold recruitment strategy is turning heads already—before a ball has even been kicked.
