Como sign French forward of DR Congolese descent Jonathan Ikoné

Jonathan Inkone

Serie A club Como have finalized a loan agreement for Fiorentina winger Jonathan Ikoné.

The French attacker of DR Congolese descent will join Como, which is under the management of former Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas, for the remainder of the season, with an option for a permanent transfer at the end.

The loan deal is valued at approximately €1 million, and Como holds the option to purchase Ikoné for an additional €8 million.

This move is seen as a significant addition to Como’s squad as they aim to enhance their attacking options.

This season, Ikoné has made a total of 14 league appearances for Fiorentina but has found it challenging to secure a consistent starting position in the squad.

Como’s management is optimistic that Ikoné’s arrival will bolster their performance in the league, as they look to climb the standings.

With his pace and skill on the ball, the 26-year-old could play a crucial role in Como’s ambitions for the remainder of the season, potentially leading to a permanent stay at the club if he performs well.
