Coli Saco: Napoli’s Franco-Malian midfielder linked with move to Riga FC

Coli Saco, the Franco-Malian central midfielder currently on the books of Napoli, is being linked with a move to Latvian champions Riga FC in the Virsliga. The 24-year-old, who is under contract with the Serie A club until 30 June 2028, is understood to be attracting interest as Riga explore midfield options ahead of the closing stages of their campaign.

Standing at 1.97m and left-footed, Saco has spent much of his Napoli spell out on loan, most recently with Casertana in the 2025-26 season after a stint at Swiss side Yverdon Sport earlier in the same campaign. He also had previous loans at Bari and Ancona as Napoli sought to give him regular senior football away from the top flight.

Saco’s most substantial playing time has come in Serie C, where he has accumulated over 70 appearances across the three regional groups, and in Serie B, where he featured 11 times. Earlier in his career he appeared extensively in the Italian Primavera 1 youth competition, building experience that persuaded Napoli to retain him on a long-term deal.

Born in Creteil on 15 May 2002, Saco holds both Malian and French nationality and moved through youth systems in France and Italy before establishing himself within Napoli’s structure. With his current market value listed at €200,000, a deal for Riga would be expected to be relatively modest by Serie A standards, but Napoli’s position is shaped by his long contract running through to 2028.
