Guinea-Bissau and Spanish winger Coba da Costa has joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Kholood from LaLiga club Getafe. The 23-year-old left-sided attacker makes the switch to the Saudi Pro League after breaking into top-flight football in Spain last season.

Da Costa, who was born in La Mojonera and is right-footed despite operating mainly from the left wing, moves on after a rapid rise through the Getafe ranks. He stepped up from Getafe CF B to the first team in December 2024 and went on to feature in LaLiga and the Copa del Rey before heading out on loan.

In the second half of the 2025-26 campaign he spent time with Belgian club RSC Anderlecht, gaining further top-flight and European play-off experience before returning to Spain at the end of his loan in June 2026. His performances have helped establish a market value of around 1.5m at the time of his move.

Before his spell at Getafe, Da Costa played in Spains lower divisions with UB Conquense and in Slovenia with Tabor Sezana, having also spent time at La Mojonera CF and UD Maracena after starting out in the youth system at UD Almeria. He has also shown an eye for goal at regional level, notably scoring three times in nine appearances in Spains Segunda Federacion.

Standing at 1.82m, Da Costa will offer Al-Kholood a tall, versatile option across the front line as he begins the next phase of his career in Saudi Arabia following his transfer from Getafe.
