Algeria is actively preparing for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil and is keen to make a strong impression. To ensure thorough preparations, the sports authorities have outlined their objectives and the number of matches planned for the team’s preparation. Additionally, a delegation, including coach Vahid Halilhodzic, will travel to Brazil next week to attend FIFA workshops and participate in the draw for the World Cup, scheduled for December 6.
The delegation, comprising Coach Halilhodzic, Walid Sadi (President of the National Teams Committee), Djahid Zefef (Vice-President of the FAF), and Cyril Moine (Physical Trainer), will attend the FIFA workshops to gain insights into the organization of the competition at the regulatory level. Following this, they will be present for the World Cup draw.
President Mohamed Raouraoua, who is also a member of the FIFA World Cup organizing committee, will accompany the delegation. After learning about their group, opponents, and match locations, the Algerian delegation will begin the task of choosing the base camp where the national team and the Algerian delegation will reside. This decision will influence the selection of teams for friendly matches in 2014, marking a crucial phase in the team’s World Cup preparations.
