The first leg of the 2014 World Cup play-offs between Burkina Faso and Algeria will be officiated by Janny Sikawe, a Zambian referee who was among the officials selected for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2013). He will be assisted by the Angolan Jerson Dos Santos and the Mozambican Arsenio Marengula, with the fourth referee being the Botswanan Jishua Bonido. The match is scheduled to take place at the August 4 Stadium in Ouagadougou on October 12.
