The Egyptian Clubs Association has officially issued its verdict on a dramatic round of Egyptian Premier League fixtures, confirming a string of suspensions and fines.
At the center of attention was Al Ahly right-back Mohamed Hany, who was shown a second yellow card against Pharco for failing to leave the pitch from the nearest exit during a substitution. His dismissal sparked debate, with Al Ahly lodging a request for review. The association stood firm, handing Hany a one-match suspension and a fine of 2,500 Egyptian pounds.
Other rulings followed swiftly. Pyramids FC midfielder Blati Toure will serve a one-match suspension for two bookings, while coach Krunoslav Juric was suspended for one game and fined 10,000 pounds for his red card against Ismaily. Pyramids defender Mahmoud Marei was also fined 10,000 pounds for wearing an unregistered shirt number.
Ismaily faced heavier sanctions, including a 50,000-pound fine after six cards in one match, alongside a suspension for Mohamed Ehab Rashid. Haras El Hodoud also incurred a 50,000-pound fine and a two-match suspension for Mohamed Gaber.
