Ulsan HD head coach Kim Pan-gon says he a expecting a tough game against ‘good team’ Mamelodi Sundowns.
The two sides will clash in their opener of the FIFA Club World Cup later tonight at the Inter & Co Stadium.
The two sides will be vying for progression to the knockout stages from Group F, which also features German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund and Brazilian side Fluminense.
Ulsan enters the match in high spirits, having recently defeated Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit Charlotte FC 5–2 in a behind-closed-doors preparation friendly game.
Meanwhile, Miguel Cardoso’s star-studded Sundowns team impressed in their warm-up fixtures, recording emphatic 6–0 victories over American sides Miami FC and Sarasota.
Despite the strong form of their opponents, Bang-gon is brimming with confidence as he outlines his tactical approach to outsmart Cardoso and his strong Sundowns side.
“It’s (Mamelodi) definitely a good team,” Bang-gon said, according to AFC.com.
“The players are fast and strong. We seem to be better in terms of technique and such, and I received a report that they can be gotten at,” he added.
Kick-off for the game is scheduled at 22:00 GMT.
