Raja Casablanca secured a spot in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup, held in Morocco, by defeating Auckland City 2-1 in the opening match. Mouhssine Iajour and Abdelilah Hafidi scored for the Moroccan club. The competition, taking place in Marrakech and Agadir over around ten days, featured teams from various continents. The tournament had a break on Thursday and Friday, with matches set to resume on Saturday. Al Ahly of Egypt, the second African representative, is scheduled to face the Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande FC. The semi-finals are set for December 17, and the third-place playoff and final will take place on December 21.
