Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly have been dealt with a massive blow following injury to influential winger Taher Mohamed.
The 28-year-old has picked up a strain in his anterior cruciate ligament, ruling him out of the sides next two games at the FIFA Club World Cup.
Following a medical test, it has been confirmed the enterprising attacker will not be available for the matches against Palmeiras of Brazil and Porto of Portugal.
Taher Mohamed is scheduled to begin a treatment and rehabilitation program in the coming period, hoping to prepare him for a return to action after recovering from his injury.
Al-Ahly faces a daunting task against Palmeiras on Thursday in the second round of Group A of the Club World Cup, at MetLife Stadium in New York.
