Club Brugge submit €6.5m bid for Malian prospect Amady Camara amid growing European interest

Club Brugge submit €6.5m bid for Malian prospect Amady Camara amid growing European interest

Club Brugge KV have launched an official bid to sign 19-year-old Malian international Amady Camara, as the Belgian giants move early in the summer transfer window to bolster their attacking and midfield options.

Camara, who has shown flashes of promise despite an injury-disrupted campaign, is valued by Brugge at €6.5 million—an offer the club hopes will be enough to secure the versatile forward’s signature.

The bid, reported by Africafoot, underlines the club’s determination to strengthen their squad with youthful talent ahead of the 2025–26 season.

Capable of operating across the front line, Camara can play on the right wing, in a central attacking midfield role, or as a centre forward

. His adaptability has not gone unnoticed, with several top-tier European clubs also expressing interest in his services.

However, Club Brugge have taken the first concrete step in what may soon become a competitive pursuit.

Camara’s current season has been hindered by fitness issues, limiting his consistency on the pitch.

Nevertheless, he has still managed to feature in 18 matches across all competitions, offering glimpses of the raw technical ability and tactical awareness that have attracted scouts from across the continent.

Although he has yet to register a goal this season, his ceiling remains high, with potential that many believe can be unlocked in a more stable, injury-free environment.

According to the same source, Brugge’s approach is far from the only one on the table. Danish Superliga outfit FC Midtjylland have also been monitoring Camara’s development, while interest from Italy continues to build.

Serie A sides ACF Fiorentina, Atalanta Bergamo, and Genoa CFC are all reportedly keeping tabs on the Malian, viewing him as a long-term investment with room to grow.

Camara’s current market value stands at €1.5 million, according to Transfermarkt. However, the size of Brugge’s offer suggests that the club sees potential far beyond that valuation and is willing to make a significant financial commitment to win the race for his signature.

The player’s camp has not yet commented publicly on the bid, and it remains unclear whether a deal is imminent.

However, with Club Brugge’s proactive stance, the move could accelerate negotiations in the coming weeks, especially if other suitors decide to formalise their interest.

Should the transfer materialise, Camara would join a Brugge side known for its development of young talent and consistent participation in European competitions.

For the player, it could be the ideal stage to refine his skills and establish himself in a highly competitive environment.

As the summer window approaches, the ball is now in the court of Camara’s current club and representatives.

With multiple teams circling, his next move will be watched closely—not only in Belgium, but across Europe.
