Club Brugge close in on Belgian-Nigerian Noah Adedeji-Sternberg as Tzolis replacement emerges

Club Brugge are increasingly confident of securing the signing of Belgian-Nigerian forward Noah Adedeji-Sternberg as they continue negotiations with Belgian rivals Racing Genk over a potential transfer.

The Belgian champions have identified the talented winger as a priority target following the departure of Christos Tzolis, who joined Arsenal last month for a record €40 million fee in the Belgian Pro League.

With talks progressing between the two clubs, Club Brugge believe an agreement can be reached for the Belgium U21 international, who has emerged as one of the most promising attacking talents in the country.

Transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri reports that fresh discussions are expected in the coming days as both clubs work towards finding a solution for the player’s move to the Jan Breydel Stadium.

Adedeji-Sternberg’s desire could influence deal

A major factor working in Club Brugge’s favour is the player’s willingness to make the switch.

Adedeji-Sternberg is understood to be keen on joining the reigning champions, a position that could strengthen Club Brugge’s hand during negotiations despite Genk having no immediate pressure to sell the attacker.

The winger’s current market value is estimated at around €10 million, meaning Club Brugge will likely need to meet Genk’s valuation before a deal can be completed.

The negotiations come as Club Brugge look to maintain their attacking quality after losing Tzolis, who was a key figure in their title-winning campaign.

Adedeji-Sternberg is no stranger to Club Brugge, having developed through the club’s youth system before making his senior debut in February 2024 during a 3-1 victory over RWD Molenbeek.

The forward, who is contracted until June 30, 2028, has since made 79 appearances for the club, contributing six goals and six assists.

His versatility, pace and attacking ability have made him an attractive option as Club Brugge look to rebuild their forward line and prepare for another demanding campaign.

While Genk remain in a strong negotiating position, the player’s preference for a move and Club Brugge’s determination to secure his services could prove decisive in the final stages of talks.
