Club Africain promote 17-year-old Tunisian midfielder Youssef Mokhtari

Seventeen-year-old Tunisian attacking midfielder Youssef Mokhtari has joined Club Africain from the club’s Under-19 side, completing his move into the senior squad.

Mokhtari’s switch was made on 14 September 2026 and places him with Club Africain’s first team in Ligue 1. No transfer fee has been disclosed for the move.

The midfielder has signed a contract running until 30 June 2029, giving Club Africain a long-term agreement with the teenager as he begins his senior career.

Born in Tunis on 19 November 2008, Mokhtari stands at 1.88m and operates primarily in the attacking midfield position. He is left-footed and holds Tunisian nationality.

His move represents a step up from Club Africain’s Under-19 team to the senior side, with the club retaining him within its own structure. Mokhtari will now continue his development at Club Africain after progressing through the club’s youth ranks.

The completed transfer was registered on 14 September 2026, with Mokhtari contracted to Club Africain until 2029.
