Club Africain appoint Maher Kanzari as new head coach after Benzarti’s exit

Tunisian giants Club Africain have officially appointed Maher Kanzari as their new head coach following the departure of veteran manager Faouzi Benzarti.

Kanzari will begin his duties on Monday, taking charge of the team as the club moves quickly to ensure stability ahead of the upcoming season.

The 55-year-old tactician returns to management with a wealth of experience in Tunisian football, having previously handled several top-flight clubs and worked with the national team setup.

His appointment is expected to bring a new direction to Club Africain as they aim to compete strongly on the domestic and continental fronts.

Kanzari replaces Benzarti, who left the club after accepting an offer to become head coach of Libyan side Al Ittihad. Benzarti’s exit came after a short spell in charge, prompting Club Africain’s leadership to turn to Kanzari as his successor.

The new coach faces the immediate task of preparing the squad for the new campaign while building on the club’s ambitions of challenging for major honours in Tunisia.
