Entente Sportive Sétifienne (ES Sétif) has strengthened its squad with the signing of Burkinabé forward Clément Pitroipa.
The 26-year-old has agreed to a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Algerian side, as announced by the club.
Pitroipa brings a strong record from his previous stints with ASEC Mimosas in Côte d’Ivoire and AS Douanes in Burkina Faso.
His achievements include back-to-back Burkina Faso championship titles with AS Douanes, underscoring his credentials as a proven performer.
The signing comes at a critical time for ES Sétif, aiming to bolster their attacking options amid the unavailability of Akram Djahnit and the recent departure of Malian player Jiddou.
Pitroipa’s addition is expected to enhance the team’s offensive capabilities as they look to maintain their competitive edge.
This move marks a significant step in Pitroipa’s career as he joins one of Algeria’s prominent football clubs, eager to make an impact in the North African football scene.
