Claude Le Roy press conference postponed again by FECOFOOT

Claude Le Roy’s press conference has been postponed for a second time, with the Congo coach now scheduled to meet the sports media on Monday, 21 September 2026.

The Congolese Football Federation (FECOFOOT) announced the latest change in an official statement issued in Brazzaville on Saturday, 19 September.

The press conference was originally due to take place on 18 September before being moved to 19 September. It has now been delayed again because of what the federation described as major scheduling constraints.

Le Roy is now expected to address media professionals at the FECOFOOT headquarters from 11:00 on Monday.

The meeting will give the sports press an opportunity to hear the latest instructions from the head of the technical staff of the senior Red Devils.

The federation’s latest announcement means journalists will have to wait several more days before hearing from Le Roy.

FECOFOOT confirmed the new date and time in its statement and called on all media professionals involved to take note of the revised schedule.

The federation also thanked media outlets and journalists for their understanding following the repeated changes to the planned press conference.

It acknowledged their availability and continued cooperation with the federation as preparations for the event continue.

The first change moved the press conference from 18 September to 19 September, but the second postponement means the meeting will now take place on 21 September.

FECOFOOT said the decision to change the schedule for a second time was linked to major scheduling constraints.

The new arrangement has therefore been formally communicated to media professionals ahead of Monday’s meeting.

The press conference is expected to bring together Le Roy and members of the sports media at the federation’s headquarters in Brazzaville.

For journalists covering the senior Red Devils, the new date provides the next opportunity to hear directly from the national team’s technical staff.

FECOFOOT has asked media professionals to adjust their coverage plans to reflect the new schedule.

The federation’s statement also reiterated its appreciation for the cooperation shown by journalists and media organisations despite the changes.

The latest postponement leaves Monday, 21 September as the new date for Le Roy’s meeting with the sports press.

The conference is scheduled to begin at 11:00 at FECOFOOT headquarters, where the Congo coach will meet media professionals following the two previous changes to the programme.
