CL: RS Berkane coach Moïne Chaabani defiant ahead of AS FAR semi-final second leg
RS Berkane manager Moïne Chaâbani has admitted his side face a difficult uphill task but insists they are ready to fight back against AS FAR in the second leg of their CAF Champions League semi-final clash.
The Tunisian tactician acknowledged the pressure of the 2-0 first-leg deficit but stressed that his team remains mentally prepared for the challenge ahead.
“We are playing against both the result and the clock. AS FAR has shown great stability and quality throughout this tournament, but we have prepared all week, mentally and physically, to move past the weight of the first-leg result,” he said.
Despite the disadvantage, Chaâbani struck a confident tone, promising a highly competitive encounter in front of the home supporters.
“Everyone is ready to give everything. We know the task isn’t easy, but we will do our utmost to secure that ticket to the final,” he added.
The tie carries added significance as it guarantees at least one Moroccan representative in the final of the competition, highlighting the continued strength of the Botola on the continental stage.
With AS FAR holding the advantage from the first leg, attention now turns to the Municipal Stadium in Berkane, where a charged atmosphere is expected to test the visitors as they attempt to complete a comeback.
