The Ivorian football classic between ASEC Mimosas and Africa Sports, initially planned behind closed doors, will now be played with the presence of supporters from both teams. This change was communicated on Africa Sport’s Facebook page, stating that the government and the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) responded to the plea of Africa Sports’ PCA to lift ASEC’s sanction. ASEC Mimosas had been subject to a four-match suspension behind closed doors due to the behavior of their supporters during a match last season. The decision is yet to be officially confirmed by the FIF.
