Christvie Dienena: DR Congo-German defender joins R Knokke FC after spell without club
R Knokke FC have added DR Congo-German defender Christvie Dienena to their squad, with the 19-year-old joining the Belgian side after a period without a club.
The Cologne-born defender has signed on for the Eerste Nationale outfit following his departure from OH Leuven’s set-up, where he last featured for the club’s U23 team. Dienena had been unattached since leaving Leuven in the summer of 2025 before securing his move to Knokke.
Dienena, who can operate across the backline, has already made his first appearance in the 1ste Nationale this season, completing the full 90 minutes on his debut. That early involvement underlines Knokke’s intention to integrate him immediately into their senior plans rather than using him purely as a developmental option.
The teenager progressed through the youth ranks in Belgium, moving from KAA Gent’s academy to OH Leuven’s U18 side in 2022 on a free transfer. He then stepped up to Leuven’s U23s a year later, continuing his development in the country’s youth and reserve competitions.
Born in 2006 and eligible for both DR Congo and Germany, Dienena now begins his first sustained spell in senior football with Knokke, having secured his move to the club on 30 July 2026.
