French-born DR Congolese forward Christopher Nkunku is reportedly unsettled at Chelsea due to limited playing time, with a return to Paris Saint-Germain emerging as a potential escape route.
The Ligue 1 leaders are keen on bolstering their struggling attack and have identified Nkunku, a product of their esteemed youth academy, as a top summer target, according to Sky Sports.
Nkunku, born in Lagny-sur-Marne, France, with Congolese heritage, rose through the ranks at PSG before making his senior debut in 2015. The 26-year-old attacker, renowned for his creativity and versatility, could add a spark to Luis Enrique’s faltering front line. However, PSG’s head coach is reportedly more inclined towards Napoli’s Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, leaving Nkunku’s future hanging in the balance.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are adamant about retaining Nkunku, who only joined them this season. Yet the player’s frustrations at Stamford Bridge are mounting, with sources close to him suggesting he is “enticed” by the prospect of reuniting with his boyhood club in Paris.
For now, the saga remains unresolved, but PSG’s interest has reignited questions about Nkunku’s next move.
