Christopher Nkunku is on the brink of securing a permanent transfer to Bayern Munich as both clubs work towards an agreement, with the player keen to leave Chelsea this winter.
The 27-year-old has already engaged in talks with Bayern manager Vincent Kompany, confirming his desire to return to the Bundesliga after his stint in the Premier League.
Belgian transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri shared insights with Sky (via weltfussball), reporting that Nkunku is “waiting” for negotiations between the two clubs to progress. The offensive star, known for his versatility and flair, fits well into Bayern’s strategic needs, especially as the future of Leroy Sane at the club appears uncertain.
For a deal to go through, however, Chelsea must adjust their transfer fee expectations. The Blues are reportedly asking for €70 million, which could be a stumbling block in the discussions. With Nkunku eager to leave, a deal could be finalized if both parties find common ground soon.
