Christopher Boniface: Nigerian midfielder joins H. Ramat Gan on free transfer

Nigerian attacking midfielder Christopher Boniface has joined H. Ramat Gan from Al-Kharaitiyat on a free transfer.

The 24-year-old has signed a contract with the Israeli club running until 30 June 2028, completing his move on 3 August 2026.

Boniface arrives after one season with Al-Kharaitiyat, who play in the Qatari Second Division. He joined the club from Armenian side Ararat Yerevan on 19 August 2025, also moving without a transfer fee.

The Kaduna-born player operates primarily as an attacking midfielder and is comfortable using either foot. He is listed at 1.80m and has built his career across clubs in Qatar, Armenia and South Africa.

Before moving to Al-Kharaitiyat, Boniface spent the 2024-25 campaign with Ararat Yerevan. He had joined the Armenian club from FC Van in September 2024 on a free transfer, having previously played for South African side Right2Win SA.

His career record includes 68 appearances, 13 goals and five assists in the Premier League, as well as 13 appearances, two goals and one assist in the Qatari Second Division. He has also scored in cup competitions in Qatar and Armenia.

Boniface’s arrival gives H. Ramat Gan another midfield option ahead of his first season with the club. His contract places him at the Israeli side through the end of June 2028.

The transfer represents the latest move in a career that has taken Boniface between three countries since 2022. He left Right2Win SA for FC Van before continuing to Armenia, Qatar and now Israel.

H. Ramat Gan have secured the services of the Nigerian midfielder without paying a transfer fee, with the move formally completed on 3 August 2026.
