Christian Nsundi: DR Congo midfielder joins SC Toulon on free transfer from Bourges FC
SC Toulon have added DR Congo midfielder Christian Nsundi to their squad after the 25-year-old completed a free transfer from Bourges FC. The defensive midfielder joins the French club after two seasons in the country, strengthening Toulons options at the base of their midfield.
Nsundi, a right-footed holding player who stands at 1.89m, moves to Toulon after a year with Bourges, having arrived there in August 2024. His switch continues a steady rise through African and French football, with the move confirmed on 12 July 2026.
Before joining Bourges, Nsundi spent two seasons in Morocco, first with Difaa El Jadida and then MAS Fes. Across league, cup and continental competitions, he accumulated regular game time, including appearances in the Botola Pro and the CAF Confederation Cup, underlining his experience in physically demanding midfield battles.
In French football, Nsundi has already featured significantly at National 1 level, making close to 50 appearances and contributing a handful of goals from his deep midfield role. That run of games has established him as a dependable presence shielding the defence and recycling possession.
Born on 3 May 2001, Nsundi now enters what should be a key phase of his career, with Toulon offering a platform to build on his experience in both North African and French competitions.
The DR Congo midfielder now links up with his new team-mates at SC Toulon after sealing his free transfer from Bourges FC.
