Juventus are being linked with a move for Monaco centre-back Christian Mawissa, with the Serie A club reportedly tracking the 20-year-old defender’s situation in the Principality.

The France and DR Congo youth prospect, valued at €15.00m on specialist databases, is the subject of growing speculation over a potential switch from Ligue 1 to Turin. The reported interest surfaced on 17 November 2025, though no fee, timetable or formal negotiations have been confirmed and the move currently carries only a “?” probability tag, underlining its tentative nature.

Mawissa joined Monaco from Toulouse on 11 August 2024, remaining within Ligue 1 after progressing through the Toulouse system from formation level to the first team. Publicly available data does not list an expiry date on his Monaco contract, leaving uncertainty over its length and, in theory, how strongly the club are protected against losing him, including on a potential free transfer at some stage.

A left-footed centre-back standing at 1.84m, Mawissa has developed rapidly since his debut in senior football. His market value has climbed from €100,000 with Toulouse’s B team in November 2022 to €7m by March 2024, €9m in June 2024 and then €12m and €15m following his move to Monaco, reflecting his growing reputation in Ligue 1.

Born on 18 April 2005 in Saint-Jean-de-Verges, he represents both France and DR Congo at national level and has so far played his club football exclusively in France’s top flight and its youth and reserve competitions. A transfer to Juventus would offer a first experience of Serie A and a different tactical environment renowned for its focus on defensive organisation.

If the move were to materialise, it could mark a pivotal step in Mawissa’s career, offering a bigger stage on which to refine his game and potentially elevate both his status in European football and his international prospects.
