Christian Kofane reveals Premier League ambition

Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane has spoken openly about his long-term ambition to play in the Premier League, while insisting he remains focused on his development in Germany.

The 20-year-old has attracted interest from several English clubs following his rapid rise at Bayer 04.

“I can imagine it, yes. It is one of the best leagues in the world,” Kofane told kicker when asked about a potential future in England. “But I want to take it step by step. I am young and still have a lot planned with Bayer.”

Arsenal, Newcastle United and Everton have all been linked with the talented forward, but Leverkusen are in a strong position. Kofane is under contract until 2029, and the German club are reportedly demanding about €100 million for any potential transfer.

For now, the striker is content at the BayArena and grateful for the opportunity he has been given. “Bayer 04 is a great club that has given me a big chance and a lot of confidence. I feel very comfortable here,” he said.

Kofane’s comments make clear that England may be part of his future, but Leverkusen remains his immediate priority as he continues developing his game.
