Christian Atsu: Ghanaian Winger Loaned to Bournemouth

Christian Atsu Joins Bournemouth on Loan from Chelsea

Another chapter begins for Christian Atsu, as the Ghanaian winger has joined AFC Bournemouth on loan from Chelsea for the upcoming season. The move was officially confirmed on Bournemouth’s website:
“Bournemouth continues its preparations for next season with the loan of winger Atsu from Chelsea.”

Atsu, crowned 2015 AFCON Player of the Year, spent last season on loan at Everton, although he struggled for regular playing time. Prior to that, he had a more productive stint at Vitesse Arnhem in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Despite signing for Chelsea in 2013, Atsu has yet to feature for the Blues in a competitive match and remains outside Jose Mourinho’s immediate plans. The loan to newly promoted Bournemouth offers him another opportunity to gain Premier League experience and revive his career trajectory.
