Trabzonspor demand €50m as Premier League interest grows in Christ Inao Oulaï
Premier League clubs are increasingly monitoring Trabzonspor midfielder Christ Inao Oulaï following a rapid rise in form that has turned the 20-year-old into one of the most talked-about young players in Turkey.
The Ivorian talent, who joined Trabzonspor from SC Bastia last summer for a fee of around €5.5 million, has quickly established himself as a key figure for the Turkish side.
His consistency and influence in midfield have made him one of the standout performers of the season.
Oulaï’s progress has also been reflected in his market value, which has risen sharply to an estimated €17 million according to Transfermarkt.
His performances have not gone unnoticed across Europe, with several Premier League clubs now closely tracking his development.
Reports from SportsBoom indicate that scouts from Bournemouth and Brighton attended multiple matches in early March to assess the midfielder in action.
Those games included Trabzonspor’s 4-2 Turkish Cup victory over Başakşehir and their 3-1 league win against Kayserispor, both of which highlighted the youngster’s growing influence.
Following those scouting missions, both clubs are believed to be considering formal approaches, with potential offers reported to be in the region of €30–35 million. However, competition for his signature is expected to be strong.
Alongside Bournemouth and Brighton, other clubs including Crystal Palace, West Ham, Galatasaray, Chelsea and Tottenham are also said to be monitoring the situation.
Chelsea are understood to have already tested Trabzonspor’s resolve during the winter transfer window with a €40 million bid, which was rejected.
The London club are reportedly preparing another attempt in the summer, but Trabzonspor are determined to retain their rising star unless their valuation is met.
The Turkish club are believed to be demanding between €45 million and €50 million for any potential transfer.
Oulaï remains under contract until June 2030 and currently earns an annual salary of around €500,000.
This season, he has made 23 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing four assists, further underlining his growing contribution.
As the transfer speculation continues to build, Trabzonspor are preparing for their upcoming league fixture against Başakşehir in the 30th round of the Turkish Super Lig, with Oulaï expected to remain central to their plans.
