Chelsea are being linked with a move for Trabzonspor midfielder Christ Inao Oulaï as the Premier League club reportedly monitor the 19-year-old’s rapid rise in Türkiye.

The Ivorian central midfielder, currently valued at €4.00m, is rumoured to be the subject of interest from Stamford Bridge, with speculation originating from transfer data suggesting a possible switch from the Süper Lig to the Premier League. The probability of any move remains unclear, listed only as “?” in the latest reports, underlining that talks, if any, are at a very early and unconfirmed stage.

Oulaï is under contract at Trabzonspor, but with no publicly listed start date or expiry date on his current deal, observers have noted the theoretical possibility that his future status could develop towards free agency if no extension is agreed. For now, though, he remains a Trabzonspor player and any transfer would be subject to negotiations between the two clubs.

Born on 6 April 2006 in Yopougon, Côte d’Ivoire, Oulaï has progressed quickly since leaving JMG Academy Abidjan for SC Bastia in July 2024, before moving on to Trabzonspor ahead of the 2025–26 campaign. His market value has soared from €300,000 in March 2025 at Bastia to €4.00m by October 2025 with Trabzonspor, reflecting his development in central midfield.

Primarily a right-footed central midfielder, the 1.73m tall teenager has gained experience in France’s set-up with SC Bastia before stepping into top-flight Turkish football. Registered with shirt number 42 at Trabzonspor, he represents Côte d’Ivoire at national level and is viewed as a player with significant long-term upside rather than an immediate marquee name.

Should Chelsea decide to formalise their interest, a move to the Premier League could accelerate Oulaï’s rise and offer a major platform to shape his reputation and fulfil his potential at the highest level.
