Chris Wreh: Liberia and United States forward joins Leamington on free transfer

United States and Liberia centre-forward Chris Wreh has joined Leamington from Bedford Town on a free transfer, adding a 29-year-old striker to the club’s squad for the 2026-27 season.

Wreh’s move was completed on 1 August 2026 after a spell with Bedford Town in the National League North. He has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027, marking his latest move in a career that has included clubs across the English non-league system.

The New York-born forward joined Bedford Town in September 2025 after leaving Hereford. He then spent part of the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Banbury, returning to Bedford at the end of May before switching to Leamington.

Wreh has recorded 59 appearances and seven goals in the National League, along with six goals and six assists from 28 National League North appearances. His record also includes three FA Cup appearances and two outings in the National League Cup.

The forward began his senior career with Barton Rovers and has also played for Rushden & Diamonds, Stratford Town, Dunstable, Newport Pagnell, FC Aylesbury, Rushall, Banbury, Southend United, Hartlepool, Tamworth, Scunthorpe United, Maidenhead United, Hereford and Bedford Town.

His recent career has included a number of free transfers and loan spells. Before arriving at Leamington, he spent the 2025-26 season moving between Bedford Town and Banbury, having joined Hereford from Maidenhead United the previous summer.

Wreh is listed as a right-footed centre-forward and stands 1.83m tall. He will now continue his career with Leamington, with the club holding his registration through the end of June 2027.
