Nigerian striker **Elvis Chisom Chikatara** is on the verge of completing a move to **Wydad Casablanca**, according to Nigerian sports outlet *Felele47*.
The **21-year-old forward**, who currently plays for Abia Warriors in his home country, is expected to travel to Morocco in the coming days to undergo a medical before signing with the Botola Pro champions.
Chikatara rose to prominence at the ongoing **African Nations Championship (CHAN 2016)** in Rwanda, where he delivered standout performances for Nigeria. He scored **four goals in his first two matches**, including a sensational **hat-trick against Niger** in the Super Eagles’ 4-1 opening victory, followed by a strike in the 2-2 draw with Tunisia.
Despite his heroics, Nigeria crashed out of the tournament after a shock 1-0 defeat to Guinea in their final group match.
Born in **Abia, Nigeria**, Chikatara has already featured at under-23 level for his country. His pace, clinical finishing, and sharp movement in front of goal have drawn attention from several clubs across Africa, but Wydad have moved quickly to secure his services.
The Casablanca giants, who are among Morocco’s most decorated clubs, will be hoping Chikatara’s arrival strengthens their attack as they chase domestic honours and prepare for continental competition.
