Chippa United hijack Durban City’s move to complete permanent signing of Goodman Mosele

Chippa United have pulled off a major transfer coup after hijacking Durban City’s proposed move for Orlando Pirates midfielder Goodman Mosele, securing the player on a permanent deal ahead of the new Betway Premiership season.

Mosele had been expected to join newly promoted Durban City on loan from Pirates after spending the previous campaign on loan at Chippa United. However, the deal collapsed at the last minute, allowing the Chilly Boys to move decisively and retain the services of the influential midfielder.

Instead of another temporary spell away from Orlando Pirates, the 25-year-old has now completed a permanent transfer to the Eastern Cape club, bringing an end to his time with the Buccaneers.

The former Baroka FC midfielder spent the past two seasons away from Pirates on loan as he searched for regular first-team football. His most successful spell came at Chippa United, where he established himself as one of the club’s most dependable performers.
