The 25-year-old joins the Chilli Boys following his spell with Marumo Gallants. Despite attracting interest from several clubs, Bance chose Chippa United as the next destination in his career. A strong and composed presence in central midfield, he brings valuable experience from playing in South Africa, Cote d’Ivoire, Sweden and the United States. He has also represented Burkina Faso at senior international level. We are confident that his physicality, work rate and ability to control the midfield will add strength and balance to our squad.
Bance’s move follows reports that he had returned to South Africa to complete the transfer. His previous time with Marumo Gallants helped establish his experience in Mzansi, while his career overseas has taken him to three other countries.
Chippa said the player’s physical presence, work rate and ability to control matches from midfield were central to their decision to bring him to the club. The Eastern Cape side also believes his arrival will provide greater strength and balance in the middle of the pitch.
The midfielder’s signature comes after interest from a number of clubs, but he ultimately selected Chippa United as the next step in his career. The club has now formally welcomed him following the completion of the move.
Bance’s senior international experience with Burkina Faso adds another dimension to Chippa’s midfield options. The club did not disclose the length or financial details of his contract.
He becomes the latest player to join Chippa after a spell with Marumo Gallants, with the move adding further competition for places in central midfield. The club will hope his combination of physicality, composure and international experience can help strengthen its squad.
