Danish-Nigerian forward Chido Obi-Martin is set to sign his first professional contract with Manchester United this Friday, according to reports from the Manchester Evening News (MEN).

The 17-year-old forward, who made the switch from Arsenal during the summer transfer window, has been on a scholarship deal, with his professional terms scheduled to begin on his birthday—a common practice for elite young talents.

Since joining United, Obi-Martin has made a remarkable impact, scoring four goals in just two starts in the U18 Premier League this season.

His debut was particularly noteworthy, as he netted a hat-trick, showcasing his potential and skill at a young age.

Obi-Martin’s transfer to Manchester United was celebrated as a big achievement for the club, highlighting their commitment to nurturing young talent.

The activation of his professional contract is seen as a pivotal moment in his burgeoning career, as he aims to continue his development within one of the world’s most prestigious football clubs.

Chido Obi-Martin was born in Denmark to Nigerian parents and has represented Denmark’s youth teams but is still eligible to play for the Super Eagles.
