Chelsea’s David Datro Fofana linked with Servette move
Ivorian forward David Datro Fofana is being linked with a move from Chelsea to Swiss Super League club Servette.
The 23-year-old centre-forward remains under contract at Stamford Bridge until 30 June 2029, but has yet to feature for Chelsea in the 2026-27 season. He has made no appearances in either the Premier League or the EFL Cup campaign so far.
Fofana returned to Chelsea on 30 June after a loan spell with Strasbourg, having joined the French club from Chelsea in February. That followed an earlier temporary move to Turkish side Karagumruk, where he spent part of the 2025-26 season before returning to England in January.
Chelsea signed Fofana from Norwegian club Molde in January 2023 for €12m. He had previously helped Molde win the Norwegian league title in 2022 and the Norwegian Cup in 2021.
The proposed move to Servette would take Fofana from the Premier League to Switzerland’s top flight, although the rumour has not been confirmed by either club. Chelsea’s current valuation of the striker is €4m.
Fofana’s recent career has been defined by loan moves since arriving in west London. He also spent time with Union Berlin, Burnley and Goztepe, with each spell ending in a return to Chelsea. His long-term contract means any permanent transfer would not be a free move.
