Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly prepared to spend big this summer to secure the signing of Nigerian forward Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen.
Despite already having Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, and Marc Guiu in their attacking ranks, the Blues are looking to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Chelsea are strong admirers of Boniface and are gearing up to submit a €70 million bid for the 24-year-old striker.
Boniface played a crucial role in Bayer Leverkusen’s remarkable 2023/24 campaign, scoring 14 goals in 24 Bundesliga appearances as the club clinched the league title.
Leverkusen also triumphed in the DFB-Pokal and reached the Europa League final.
This season, despite struggling with injuries, Boniface has still managed to net seven goals in 12 Bundesliga matches, proving his attacking prowess once again.
On the international scene, the prolific striker is expected to join the Nigerian squad next month for their 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
