Chelsea have turned down offer from German giants Bayern Munich for the loan acquisition of France international of DR Congo descent Christopher Nkunku.
Nkunku is set for a permanent departure from Chelsea after falling down the pecking order following the arrival of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.
According to reports, Chelsea have rejected a loan offer to sign Nkunku from Bayern Munich. The Premier League club would prefer to sell the France international attacker on a permanent basis this summer.
Despite the Bundesliga champions’ first offer being rebuffed by the West London club, the club could yet return with another offer to sign the 27-year-old.
Nkunku has been told that he is no longer a part of Enzo Maresca’s plans at Stamford Bridge, and he is expected to leave before the end of the transfer window on Wednesday.
The Frenchman is attracting interest from several clubs over a potential transfer away from Chelsea. RB Leipzig, Aston Villa and AC Milan are also interested in signing the Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate.
Last season, Christopher Nkunku made 48 appearances for Chelsea, netting 15 goals and providing 5 assists. He was mainly used as an impact substitute, injecting energy into the side and helping secure crucial results.
