Chelsea is reportedly eyeing a summer move for Kofi Amoako, the 19-year-old Wolfsburg midfielder currently on loan at VfL Osnabrück.
According to “Bild,” the English giants have already reached out to Amoako’s camp with a detailed plan for his future.
The reported strategy involves securing Amoako’s signature and immediately loaning him to RC Strasbourg in France to gain top-flight experience. Standard Liège is also in the race for the highly-rated prospect, adding further intrigue to his next career step.
Amoako, who signed his first professional contract with Wolfsburg on 9 February 2023, made his senior debut as a late substitute in a 1-0 Bundesliga win over Darmstadt 98 on 16 December 2023. His current deal with Wolfsburg runs until the summer of 2026, but his long-term future remains uncertain.
While Wolfsburg could still extend his contract if a clear development pathway is presented, Chelsea’s keen interest suggests a major decision awaits the talented midfielder. Born in Germany to Ghanaian parents, Amoako has already represented Germany at the U-19 level.
