Once again, Chelsea will be without Samuel Eto’o for the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals against Atletico Madrid this Tuesday. The Cameroonian striker sustained a knee injury during Saturday’s Premier League match against Sunderland, despite managing to score in the game.
Eto’o had also missed the first leg of the quarter-finals against Paris Saint-Germain before making a return at Stamford Bridge. José Mourinho, already grappling with issues in his attack, will not be pleased with this news. Additionally, Belgian star Eden Hazard remains doubtful for the match due to a calf injury sustained in the return leg against PSG.
The clash between Atletico Madrid and Chelsea kicks off tonight at 6:45 p.m. GMT.
