English outfit Chelsea are keen on signing France defender of Benin descent Jules Kounde in the summer transfer window.
According to information gathered, the Blues are in contact with the player’s agent and hope to reach an agreement soon.
Jules Kounde has been in impressive form at right-back under FC Barcelona manager Hansi Flick this season.
He has developed into one of Barcelona’s key players and is regarded as one of the few untouchables at the club.
While he has a contract that runs until 2027, Kounde is facing an uncertain future at Barcelona.
Chelsea have emerged as a possible destination for the defender next season. The club wanted to sign the defender in 2022 but failed.
It is understood that the Blues are ready to do everything to bring Kounde to Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, there is interest from other top English clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester City.
