English Premier League side Chelsea are planning a major swoop to secure the services of Dutch attacker of Togolese and Nigerian descent, Emanuel Emegha.
Officials of the two-time UEFA Champions League winners are said to be ready to offer the promising forward a six-year deal.
Emegha, 22, currently plays for Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg Alsace, a club with close ties to Chelsea. Speculation around his transfer has intensified over the past months, especially given his impressive form under head coach Liam Rosenior.
The forward netted nine goals in 31 appearances last season and improved to 14 goals in just 29 games this season, attracting attention across Europe.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that while the deal is expected to go through, Emegha is unlikely to feature in the Premier League next season.
Instead, Chelsea plan to loan him back to Strasbourg to strengthen their squad for European competition.
Chelsea will put up a plan to help the development of the young striker and expect to integrate him into the first team in the 2026/27 football season.
