Chelsea outshine Brighton in 4-2 victory as Cole Palmer shines with four goals
Chelsea delivered a commanding performance at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, securing a 4-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion during the Premier League’s sixth matchday. By the 41st minute, Palmer had completed his hat-trick and added a fourth, setting a Premier League record as the first player to score four goals in the first half of a match.
With Chelsea in firm control, the second half saw fewer fireworks, but Brighton managed to pull one back late in the game.
Their efforts, however, were not enough to overturn Chelsea’s dominant performance, and the Blues comfortably secured all three points.
This victory moves Chelsea into provisional third place in the Premier League standings, continuing their impressive start to the season under new manager Enzo Maresca.
The team’s recent form has been a cause for optimism among fans, with Maresca’s attacking philosophy beginning to bear fruit.
Palmer, in particular, has emerged as a key figure in the team’s resurgence, and his four-goal haul will undoubtedly be a talking point in the days to come.
