The rift between Samuel Eto’o and José Mourinho seems to be growing wider. In a recent interview with the official website of the Confederation of African Football, Eto’o didn’t hold back in expressing his feelings towards his former coach.
Eto’o criticized Mourinho, referring to him as an “idiot” and even went on to describe him as a “puppet.” This comes after Mourinho made ironic comments about Eto’o’s age during his time at Chelsea.
Despite these tensions, Eto’o remains confident in his abilities, stating, “Contrary to what a puppet says about my age, I am still in good physical shape. At 33, I feel really good. I proved that I could do better than young people (…).”
Furthermore, Eto’o revealed his intention to join a club competing in the Champions League next season, emphasizing his ongoing passion for the competition. He didn’t disclose which club he’s considering but hinted that it would be at a high level.
