Chelsea’s manager, José Mourinho, expressed his intention to reinforce the team’s attacking line in the upcoming transfer window during a recent press conference. Despite having options like Eto’o, Torres, and Demba Ba, Chelsea’s attack hasn’t been as productive as desired this season.
Mourinho clarified that the club’s decision not to sign a striker in the previous transfer windows was part of a long-term strategy. “Buying a striker is something we have been talking about for a long time,” Mourinho said. He emphasized that the focus now is to bolster the attack, considering it a normal progression for the team.
Diego Costa, Atletico Madrid’s center forward, has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, although no official announcement has been made yet.
