Chelsea monitor AIK winger Zadok Yohanna amid rising transfer buzz

Nigerian right winger Zadok Yohanna of Swedish side AIK is being linked with a move to Premier League club Chelsea as speculation grows over the 18-year-old’s future in Stockholm.

The teenager, who stands at 1.84m and favours his left foot from the right flank, is listed with a market value of €500k, according to Transfermarkt, a fee that would represent a relatively low-cost gamble for the London club if interest develops into a formal approach. The rumour, surfaced on 6 June 2026, currently carries an unspecified probability (“?”), underlining that talks are at an early and informal stage.

Yohanna’s contractual situation at AIK is unclear, with no public record of a fixed expiry date. That has fuelled suggestions he could either negotiate a new deal in Sweden or run down his terms and move later as a free agent if no agreement is reached. There is no indication yet that AIK have put a formal asking price on the player.

The Nigerian youth prospect, born on 29 June 2007, has been integrated into AIK’s first-team set-up in the Allsvenskan, wearing shirt number 36 and operating primarily as an attacking right winger. Recent league outings have seen him used high and wide on the right, tasked with stretching defences and driving inside onto his stronger left foot, although detailed public statistics on goals and assists this season remain limited.

Chelsea’s interest, at this stage, is understood to be part of broader scouting of emerging talent rather than a completed move. For Yohanna, a switch from the Swedish top flight to the Premier League would mark a major step up in competition and exposure – a move that, if it materialises, could be decisive in shaping his early career trajectory and long-term reputation in European football.
